01

Agreement to these terms

These terms are a contract between you and Tixkarios, Inc. ("Tixkarios", "we", "us"). They apply when you visit our website, create an account, buy a ticket, sell tickets or scan guests in at an event.

By using Tixkarios you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

02

Who can use Tixkarios

To use Tixkarios you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.
  • Give us accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.
  • Tell us straight away at the support email below if you think someone else has used your account.

03

Buying tickets

When you buy a ticket, you are buying entry to an event run by an organizer. Tixkarios is the platform that sells and delivers the ticket. We do not organize the event ourselves unless we say so on the event page.

  • The price you see at checkout is the ticket price plus any service fee, shown separately before you pay.
  • Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. A purchase is only complete once your payment is confirmed.
  • After payment, your ticket and its QR code are sent to the email you gave at checkout and are available in your account.
  • Each QR code works for entry once. Once it has been scanned, it cannot be used again.
  • Treat your QR code like cash. Do not post it online or share it with anyone you do not trust. We are not responsible if someone else scans a code you shared.
  • Event details such as date, time, venue and line-up are set by the organizer and can change.

04

Refunds and cancellations

Each organizer decides their own refund policy, and it is shown on the event page. Unless the organizer says otherwise, all ticket sales are final.

  • If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. The service fee is not refundable unless the law requires it.
  • If an event is postponed or moved, your ticket normally stays valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, ask the organizer about their policy.
  • If an event changes in a major way, such as a different venue in another city, contact the organizer first, then us if you cannot reach them.
  • If you were charged but did not receive a ticket, email us with your payment reference and we will fix it or refund you.
  • Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Timing depends on your bank or payment provider.

05

Selling tickets as an organizer

If you create an event on Tixkarios, you are the organizer and you are responsible for it. You agree that:

  • Everything you publish about the event is true, including the date, venue, price and what a ticket includes.
  • You have the right to hold the event and to sell tickets to it, and you have every permit and licence the event needs.
  • You will run the event as described, keep guests safe and follow the law that applies where it takes place.
  • You are responsible for refunds, complaints and disputes about your event, and for any taxes on your income from ticket sales.
  • You will not oversell beyond the capacity of the venue.
  • You will not use Tixkarios to sell anything illegal or anything that is not an event ticket.

06

Fees and payouts

Creating a free event costs nothing. For paid events, we charge a fee on each ticket sold. There are no setup fees and no monthly charges. The current fee for each country is shown on our Pricing page and is confirmed in your dashboard before you publish an event.

We pay your earnings to the bank account you have verified with us. Payouts are normally sent within 24 hours, but we can delay or hold a payout when we need to carry out security checks, verify your identity, handle a dispute or investigate suspected fraud.

If a payment is reversed or charged back, or if tickets are refunded after we have paid you, we can deduct that amount from future payouts or ask you to pay it back.

We may change our fees. Changes apply to events published after the change, and we will update the Pricing page when they happen.

07

Scanning and entry

Organizers can add scanners to their team and use the Tixkarios scanner to check guests in. A scan confirms that a ticket is valid and has not been used.

  • Organizers and venues can refuse entry to anyone who breaks the venue rules, behaves unsafely or cannot show a valid ticket.
  • A valid ticket does not guarantee entry if the law or the venue requires otherwise, for example because of capacity or age limits.
  • Scanner access codes belong to the organizer who created them. Organizers must keep them private and revoke any that are no longer needed.

08

Promoters, referral links and discount codes

Organizers can create discount codes for their events, and referral links for themselves or for the promoters who help them sell. The organizer can see how many tickets each link sells.

Tixkarios does not pay rewards or commissions to promoters. If an organizer offers a reward to a promoter, the organizer agrees it and pays it, and Tixkarios is not a party to that arrangement.

Codes and links only work for the event they were made for and can be revoked or expire at any time. Do not abuse them, for example by creating fake accounts or fake purchases. We can cancel the affected orders.

09

What you must not do

When using Tixkarios you must not:

  • Sell fake, copied or invalid tickets, or create a ticket QR code that was not issued by us.
  • Use stolen cards or payment details, or try to commit fraud of any kind.
  • Collect more tickets than you need in order to resell them at inflated prices where the law or the organizer does not allow it.
  • Try to break into, overload, scrape or interfere with the platform or other people's accounts.
  • Use bots or automated tools to buy tickets or to bypass limits.
  • Post content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Pretend to be another person or organization.

10

Content you post

Event descriptions, images, names and other material you upload remain yours. By uploading them, you give Tixkarios a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and promote them on the platform and in our marketing for as long as the event is listed.

You promise that you own what you upload or have permission to use it. We may remove any content that breaks these terms or that we are asked to remove by someone with a valid claim.

11

Our intellectual property

The Tixkarios name, logo, website, software and design belong to us. These terms give you the right to use the platform, not to copy it, resell it or build a competing service from it.

12

Third-party services

Tixkarios relies on outside services such as payment processors, email delivery and file hosting, and may link to other websites. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content or conduct. Their own terms apply when you use them.

13

Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using Tixkarios at any time. You can also ask us to close your account by emailing us.

We can suspend or close an account, cancel an event or hold payouts if we believe someone has broken these terms, put others at risk, or used the platform for fraud or illegal activity. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

Closing an account does not cancel anything that already happened. Tickets already sold, refunds owed and fees due still apply.

14

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Tixkarios running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available".

We are not the organizer of the events listed on Tixkarios. We do not guarantee that an event will take place as described, or that its quality, safety or content will meet your expectations.

15

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tixkarios is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data or opportunity arising from your use of the platform or from an event.

Where the law allows us to limit our liability and we are found liable, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees we earned from your transactions in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud.

16

Your responsibility

You agree to cover the reasonable costs of any claim brought against Tixkarios because of your event, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law.

17

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make an important change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where it makes sense, tell you by email or on the platform. If you keep using Tixkarios after a change, you accept the updated terms.

18

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If we cannot settle a dispute by talking it through, it will be handled by the courts of Nigeria, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
